Herniated

Yes, that's me. Mr. Herniated. Herniated disk at c7, bulging on right side, pinching the nerve which is causing the numbness and tingling in my right arm, shoulder, elbow and hand. Mostly, the numb forefinger that I've had for weeks.

Oh boy. Next stop - Neurosurgeon. My guess is the answer will be "Surgery Now" or "Surgery Later" - disks don't repair themselves, even with drugs and therapy.

So, I'm a little depressed about this.

Getting old sucks.

They don't repair themselves, per se, but they can stabilize, given time :-)

My impression of neurosurgeons, so far, is that they really don't want to cut you unless it's gotten really bad really fast, or everything else has been tried.

If they send you on for an epidural steroid injection, you'll be in fine company - both cadhla and filker0 had gone that route. Feel free to call us if you want to talk.
