5 questions with a twist

Since SO many people are doing the 5 questions meme, I figured I'd join the party as well - only I thought I'd do it a bit different.

Here are 5 questions for anyone to answer.

1. What's your name?

2. What's your quest?

3. What's your favorite color?

4. What's the land speed velocity of a coconut laden sparrow? (European or South African, your choice)

5. How many fingers am I holding up?

Each person that answers may, in return, ask me 5 questions.

Have a nice day. :)

1. How are you and the weef and sprog doing up there in the north?

We are doing very well. The weather is great, the air is breathable and the rents are affordable. What else could you want, actually? :) No gaming though, that's a shame.

2. Any new filk in the pipes?

Wrote a new Ranger song for OVFF in October, but nothing since then. I really need to schedule time to work on music stuff. The studio is about 80% complete, and just needs me to spend a day on it to get it finished.

3. Do you believe in shame?

"Shame" is not a concept to be believed in or not. It's a feeling that you have or you don't have, for a variety of reasons. Or maybe it's a classic Alan Ladd western, I get confused.

4. Are you sure this thing is on?

I am The Sound Guy(tm). It's on when I say it's on. ;)

5. Does anybody really know what time it is?

Does anybody really care?
If so I can't imagine why
We've all got time enough to cry

Good to hear from you Jo. :)

1) What length do you like your hair best at?

I like the idea of it very long, like it was at it's longest. However, I like the reality of it shorter. I just got it cut yesterday to about collar length. (I'm not sure of the style, however. Amanda and I agree that it looks like a hair style of a 70s pop star. :) ) I suppose with age comes the desire to have to maintain your hair less, and the fact that my thick head of hair is thinning out noticeably means shorter hair will be in the rest of my future. :)

2) Which part of your wife's anatomy do you like the most?

I would have to say "Eyes" as they are the window to her soul. Or perhaps her mind, where her cleverness and sense of humor reside. Nah... who am I fooling? It's her bodacious mama-jammas. I identify quite clearly as a "breast man". I will add, however, that while the breasts are certainly the centerpiece of the female anatomy for me, I am most appreciative of them in a well proportioned package. Hips and Breasts that are comparative, with a well defined Waist are all part of the thing that turns me on. :) I very much appreciate the curve of the waist as it turns into the hip. Okay, TMI, I know...

3) Do you think _all_ women think men's private parts are funny looking?

If they don't, they should. We don't mind if you think they are funny looking, we just ask, respectfully, that you don't laugh. :)

4) Your brother is better than you at _______?

"many things". Saving money is a good one. He's also much more physical than I am. He can ski, and climb mountains and rapel down into caves and all kinds of stuff that I can't do. He can put together puzzles upside down and backwards. He has amazing patience and long-term goal adherence that I wish I had. He also has a great sense of humor, likes music, is attractive and available. Send queries. :)

5) You discover you're going bald. Do you shave your head or try to conceal it?

Shave. Absolutely. If you ever see me with a comb-over, feel free to whap me upside the head. I get so embarrased when I see men with obviously fake (bad toupee) or obvious comb-overs. Men! We lose our hair! It's part of our manliness! Let's give that a hug...

Re: You got questions. We got answers.
1. Where did the fire motif come from?

The icon is from Debbie, influenced by my collection of flame-adorned bowling shirts, and the famous "flame shoes". I can't say exactly why I like these things, I just do. That sort of retro, hot-rod, pin-up girl stying is something that I just like. :)

2. If money was no object, what type of guitar would you love to own?

My first thought is: Gretsch White Falcon However, if money really was no object, I would likely get a guitar custom made and finished.

3. What are some of your favorite guitar sounds?

In no particular order: Buddy Holly's Strat. Steve Cropper's Tele. James Burton's Tele. Dave Edmunds' 335 Dot. Nokie Edwards and his amazing Mosrite. Stephen Stills. Paul Barrera, Lowell George and the guitar sounds of "Little Feat". Eddie Van Halen. Snake. The whole vibe of the "E Street Band". And more and more I'm sure. :)

4. What's the biggest piece of culture shock you've had since moving to British Columbia?

It's been a very soft transition. There are a few things that caught us off guard though. Shopping Carts are called "Buggies" and you have to give a deposit (coin) to get one, which you get back when you return the cart. There is no Fry's (How do they LIVE?). Canada has much better designed money than the US.

5. How much time do you get to play with Zoe every night?

Quite a bit, actually. That was one of the big draws of this job, I get to go home at 6 every night, I'm not tied to a developer schedule. So I get home at around 6, we have dinner together and I put her to bed around 8. I also get a couple of hours in the morning with her. It's a good life. :)

1. Did Oswald act alone?

As every good gamer knows, he was being manipulated by a Grassy Gnoll. Gnolls, of course, are very evil monsters.

2. Favorite scotch? No reason, just asking, dum de dum de dum....

Favorites of the moment : The Balvenie Doublewood, Oban, McCallan, most Highland varieties. :) Oh, and Jameson 12 - not exactly Scotch, but good anyway.

3. Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?

I have. She had a blue dress on.

4. If so, which one of you led?

While I made an attempt to lead the dance, as all men know, women just let you THINK you are leading. They are always in control. ;)

5. Does this post make me look fat?

Not at all dear. You are lovely.
