Countdown...

Got a call from the packing team, they are in town now and want to come by today (Sunday) for a "pre-pack".  Don't know what that is, but suspect I'm going to find out. :)

Tomorrow the team will swarm my house and pack up all my belongings into little brown boxes.  The next day this team of hard working Canadians (yes, the team drove down from Vancouver) will move all the little brown boxes into a big truck.  And then Wednesday, left with nothing but suitcases, we will fly off on our big adventure.

Amanda and I are both a little rattled by everything happening.  We've been planning and working towards this, and now the day is upon us.  Tomorrow morning I will shut down the computers and disassemble them for transit.  Don't know when I'll be back online again, so consider this a "so long for now".

You all behave while I'm gone. ;)

Re: Hi from your Bud Tom
Hi Tom!

Scott is Toastmaster at OVFF this year. We'll be attending without Zoe, she'll be spending the weekend with her grandparents in Southern California. I'm looking forward to meeting your new lady friend. :)

BTW, the movers arrived to do some packing today and the crew foreman said "So, your movin' to Vancouver, eh?" We love him.....

Good luck, Scott & Amanda! It sounds like you're very primed for this move, so I hope it turns out to be all you could hope for. I'm so glad we'll get to see you at OVFF. But in the meanwhile, make Vancouver yours!

Ya know, Rudy was residing in Zoe's closet, but they packed Zoe's room yesterday.

So, he must be in there SOMEWHERE.

I think he does need luck all his own.

Yesterday was Zoe's birthday. We celebrated on Saturday with a very small family gathering. But we had cake and presents and Zoe got to do whatever she wanted all day.

Hey, JetsGo.com currently has a seat sale of Toronto -> Vancouver flights for CA$9 (yes that's NINE DOLLARS) + taxes/fees = total $44.08. Return flight is CA$294 + taxes/fees.

But it means that I can come move in with you for just CA$44.08!
