Stress Bomb

This week has been hell at work. The Devs have no vision or plan or clue, and the producer doesn't care, just wants it done cheap and fast. So I'm stuck trying to make everyone happy, which is physically impossible because that would require a metric for "happy" that they don't posses.

The good thing about this week has been my obsession with City of Heroes. Got on the beta for this and it's a blast. Superheros and nasty villains. No capes though - they really got to work on that. :)

Amanda is amazing and has us nearly ready to move... last minute things this week - paint and carpet this weekend. Whee.

Excuse me while I go back to staring into space....

I swore I'd be in on the beta for that since I first heard of it (over 2 years ago). But it turned out that you needed to be a member of their forums to join the beta. Ah well. Tell us how you like it.

*hugs* I hope things get less stressful for you soon. And remember - things could be worse: you could be stuck singing the Champaign-Urbana theme song for eternity.

I hope you'll find a way to cope ok with the workstress and that your move will go smoothly, and as stressfree as possible, with laughter to lighten it up and keep you all sane. Thinking of you three.

Sounds like your workplace could use a shot of humour. Time to bring out the elastic guns or the battery operated bubble guns?
I recall a series of management videos from my working days called "Humarobics" (spelling?) which elaborated on the value of humour in the workplace. I thought them excellent and my staff took them to heart. When things got really up tight and the pressure was intense someone would put on a clown nose or start a nerf gun battle and everyone would lighten up. Maybe it would help?
For some real humour relief try reading Douglas Adams' "Dogbert's Secret Manual of Management" (scrambled title?). It alsways cheered me up.
Big hugs to you and the ladies in your life. :)

TONS of anti-stress-hugs ... accompanied by a majorly silly userpic :)
